Goal
  • A. Providing and Supervising international students with Buddy program service
  • B. Helping all international students to adapt Korean lifestyle and campus life well
  • C. Creating harmonious friendship between foreign students and
        Korean students through various cultural exchanges
  • D. Developing a global mind and creating a global network for all participants
Activity Contents
Number Title Condition
Mission 1 Language exchange Teaching activities by exchanging the mother tongues
in between foreign students and Korean students
Mission 2 Cultural Experience Cultural properties exploration, watching performance,
cultural experience activity participation, etc.
Mission 3 Guide Activity Course application, campus festival participation, pick-up service
at the airport, bank task, immigration work, etc.
Mission 4 Group Activity Participating in group activities hosted by the O.I.A.
Mission 5 Life-support Activity Activities to support foreign students' problems during their living in Korea.
Selection Criterion

(especially graduate students)

Features Man to Man, intensive buddy activities
for International freshmen’s successful
living in Korea

- The upper grades international students who
  have better sociability, and information
  about international students in Hansei are
  selected as buddy leaders

- Buddies will be formed considering the
  friendships among the students
  • A. Global Buddy Member : Priority Given to Exchange student and freshmen for participation
  • B. Local Buddy Leader : Student council study aborad association’s recommendation or through consultation
        within the buddy members
  • C. Local Buddy : Priority given to students who can speak foreign languages ​​such as Chinese

Cultural experience activities 10,000 KRW limit per person in each team/
The actual expenses for one activity will be provided
Award The number of Awards may change depending on the number of teams participating
  • A. Each team must submit buddy program activity reports for at least more than four times.
  • B. Scholars are selected based on participation rate and activity reports.
